According to URBAN POLSKA, its trading partner, SCHIRMER, a well known Polish manufacturer of high performance automatic cutting and processing centers for PVC, aluminum, steel and mixed profiles, was bought by the German concern BECKHOFF.

Both companies are based in Verl close to Dortmund (North Rhine-Westphalia). They have been cooperating for more than 37 years, and their combination has become a natural one. SCHIRMER's history in the construction of automatic cutting-machining centers dates back to 1979 and was founded by Thorsten Schirmer. After acquiring a 100% stake from a British investor, BECKHOFF became the sole shareholder of SCHIRMER Maschinenbau GmbH. This year, the company will see a 22% increase in sales. The entire BECKHOFF group employs 3700 people in 75 countries. Because of acquisition of SCHIRMER by BECKHOFF, URBAN POLSKA customers in the SCHIRMER centers will have access to the latest and most advanced machine control technology in the world. URBAN POLSKA has delivered, launched and serviced more than 20 such centers on the Polish market in the largest companies in the window joinery industry in Poland.
